Commissioner Announces All-Academic Recipients for Fall Semester
ASTON, PA – “I am pleased to announce that 500 PAC student-athletes achieved the level of academic success necessary to be named to the Fall 2007 PAC All-Academic Team,” said PAC Commissioner, Amy Frankenstein. “The conference is proud of its student-athletes for recognizing the importance of their education and how their participation in athletics is part of the total educational package offered to them at our member colleges and universities.”
The PAC All-Academic award is earned by each student-athlete that meets the NCAA Division III eligibility requirements, earns varsity status in their respective sport, and earns a minimum semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.2. The team consists of student-athletes from Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Field Hockey, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Tennis, and Volleyball.
Of the 500 student-athletes receiving this award, 24 were First Team All-PAC in their respective sport, 20 were named to the Second Team All-PAC in their respective sport, 7 received Honorable Mention and 37 were recipients of individual Sportsmanship Awards.
At the conclusion of the spring semester, the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference will honor student-athletes in the sports of Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Golf, Men’s Lacrosse, Women’s Lacrosse, Softball and Men’s Tennis.
The following student-athletes are members of the Fall 2007 All-Academic Team. Please note the following representations: 1st = First Team All-PAC, 2nd = Second Team All-PAC, HM = Honorable Mention and S = Sportsmanship Award.
