Student-Athletes Break Barriers and Build Walls with Habitat for Humanity

 

Aston, Pa. – It has been said that “people are given two hands: one to receive with and the other to give with.”  Twelve student-athletes from 7 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) institutions used their hands to give by participating in Habitat for Humanity’s Collegiate Challenge during their spring break.

 

While many students across the country were relaxing, representatives from seven schools spent the week of March 2nd through 7th rehabbing a row of townhouses gutted by fire more than twenty years ago. More than 12,000 students across the country joined the Collegiate Challenge in 2008, helping build or rebuild homes in 210 locations.
